The stallholder waitlist is already bulging ahead of next year’s Festivale.
The three-day event was launched on Sunday, announcing a stellar line-up to ‘please everyone’.
JR Reyne and the Paradise Three will support Claire Bowditch on Friday, with Reece Mastin and band supporting the Choirboys on Saturday evening. Sunday will see jazz and blues songstress Renee Geyer take to the stage, supported by Deborah Conway and Will Zygier.
Festivale committee chairman David Dunn said the 2018 event will be a record year.
“This year we have a record number of food, wine, beer, cider, whisky, gin and vodka producers, meaning there will be something for everyone,” he said.
The crowd favourite masterclasses will return featuring workshops about chocolate and wine, James Boag 4 beers 4 cheeses, Best of the Best, and Sparkling along with some new additions of a separate Gin and Whisky classes.
Festivale changes delight patrons
The Festivale committee has redesigned the festival’s layout to allow for more seating areas for next year’s event.
Deputy Festivale chairman Dan Ryan said the event was on track to becoming the biggest and best Festivale yet.
“It’s designed to have something for everyone,” he said. “This year we have also introduced a family pass with two adult tickets and four children’s passes aged 14 and below.”
Eager Festivale goers who purchase their tickets before November 30 could also win, Mr Ryan said.
Interstate patrons could win return flights for two from Melbourne or Sydney, four nights accommodation, two three-day passes, tickets to a masterclass and a cooking demonstration of their choice, and $150 worth of vouchers to spend at the event’s stalls.
Intrastate patrons can also enter to win a different package.
