On behalf of the Festivale team, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Festivale 2018. For more than 30 years, Festivale has been a fixture on the summer event calendar providing the opportunity for both locals and visitors to sample the wonderful produce, cool climate wines, beers, ciders and spirits Tasmania has to offer, whilst enjoying a range of outstanding musical entertainment, street performers
and children’s activities.
We are fortunate to have the iconic Launceston City Park as our venue. The park provides not only the perfect location and ambience for Festivale, but a unique and beautiful experience for all who visit Launceston.
This year we welcome a combination of both of past and new stallholders – all of whom are offering an amazing array of food, wine, beer, cider, whisky and gin. A number of stalls will be
offering share platters – what a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with friends sharing some great Tasmanian gastronomic delights accompanied by an ice-cold beer or glass of sparkling wine.
Why not join one of our Masterclasses and learn a little about the art of wine or spirit making? Or enjoy matching Tasmania’s very own Boag’s Beer with locally produced King Island cheeses. Our local presenters are some of the best in their industry and we are very excited to offer such a diverse range of classes for you to enjoy.
We welcome Karen Martini to Festivale as our guest chef. Join Karen or one of our locally renowned chefs at the Tasmanian Food Co’s ‘Cooking in the Park’ demonstrations.
Our chefs will be showcasing local produce and giving you the opportunity to enjoy a small sample of the dishes they prepare. We guarantee you will be inspired when you see what can be achieved
in a pop-up kitchen.
Festivale is a team effort. Our volunteer committee and staff work tirelessly to ensure the high standards for the event are constantly achieved; our stallholders showcase the very best produce Tasmania has to offer; our wonderful sponsors support us through strategic partnerships and make it possible to present this event each year. You—our patrons, enjoy and support Festivale, making it the unbelievable event it is today.
Festivale is truly a celebration of everything that makes Tasmania a food and wine lovers paradise —we hope you enjoy your time with us.
WELCOME TO FESTIVALE!
